This is a handy page to look at to explain the phonics hand routines that I recommend.

Although it is a page from one of Handbooks of the Oxford Reading Tree Floppy's Phonics Sounds and Letters programme, nevertheless these are the same routines which I recommend for any phonics teaching and for both FP and for Phonics International. Very Happy

These two documents might also be helpful to explain the phonics hand routines that I recommend. The first pdf provides descriptions of the three core skills and their sub-skills.

The second pdf also describes the core skills and their sub-skills but, in addition, there is guidance for supporting professional development - what to look out for when providing phonics modelling.
