This is with reference to the Year One Phonics Screening Check in England if anyone is particulary interested in that subject.

In terms of the kind of things that teachers might look for regarding potential improvements, the paper above may be of interest - and this can be found on the Free Resources page of this site.

Even if people disregard references to the phonics programmes I am associated with, a lot of the suggestions on the audit paper are pertinent for phonics provision in particular and for good teaching and learning practices in general.
