Using PI with older ESL students

I am interested to hear of the experiences of teachers using PI to teach older pupils, for whom English is a second language.
I am aware of teachers in similar settings, who are trying to decide which SP programme to choose.
It may help that decision making if teachers, using PI in such settings, could share their experiences on this forum.
