I've developed a thread about a current Government-funded phonics project (in England) and also about ways to evaluate phonics provision generally - via the UK Reading Reform Foundation message forum.

This article amused me because the MP concerned lists all the key messages that the Government in England is trying to focus on such as the need for phonics, the need for testing of spelling and grammar, and the need to promote a love of reading by supporting libraries and reading initiatives!

So, the MP faithfully lists all of these features:
