Eliminating unnecessary workload around marking

Report of the Independent Teacher Workload Review Group

March 2016
Pie Corbett commented about the report via Twitter thus:
Marking - good points made but no practical suggestions so frustrating to read like so many of these documents.
Sean Harford, HMI replied:
In a school-led system, shouldn't schools be the ones working out the practical solutions?
Pie replied:
Surely, HMI have seen approaches that are worth sharing? Otherwise, the documents are worthy but frustrating.
Sean Harford pointed out that this is not an HMI document.
