About the 'Simple View of Reading' model

In 2006 in England, Sir Jim Rose recommended in his independent review of teaching reading the 'Simple View of Reading' (Gough and Tunmer, 1986) as a useful conceptual framework of understanding the two main processes of being a reader in the full sense.
I found it so useful that I provide the diagram of the Simple View of Reading along with a further diagram - the 'Simple View of Writing' - as a printable resource here:
